Thiago Messi, the eldest 12-year-old son of Lionel Messi, has made no secret of his desire to play alongside Barcelona’s 16-year-old forward Lamine Yamal, ยูฟ่าเบท as revealed to Barcelona.

Messi’s son, born in Barcelona on November 2, 2012, competed in the La Liga FC Futures tournament, although he did not feature significantly in Inter Miami’s two games against Real Sociedad and Barcelona followed suit, but also showcased his father’s signature style on the pitch as well.

Thiago spoke about his footballing aspirations and admitted he still needs to improve, saying: ‘Playing makes me more nervous than watching my dad play. My left leg isn’t very good.’ 

When asked if he would prefer playing for Argentina or Spain, Thiago answered emphatically: ‘I want to play with Argentina and I think there’s no way Spain will convince me.’

However, Thiago has made no secret of his desire to play alongside Barcelona’s teenage forward Lamine Yamal in the future. ‘One day I would like to play with Lamine Yamal.’

When talking about Lionel Messi’s goals that Thiago likes the most. The Argentinian striker’s son recalls his father’s goal in the 2009 Champions League final against Manchester United, which the Azulgrana won 2-0. 

‘My father’s most beautiful goal was his header against Manchester United in the Champions League final.’
