Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was asked about the future of Italy midfielder Davide Frattesi, who was brought on as a substitute late in the game.

Frattesi was expected to start in Inter Milan’s 2-0 Serie A win over Como at the San Siro on Monday, but the Italy midfielder was substituted in the 89th minute.

Inzaghi has explained why Frattesi only played a few minutes before the end of the game when asked about his future at Inter, saying that he has not had many chances overall.

Asked if Frattesi has a long future at Inter in spite of his playing time, Inzaghi said “Absolutely, yes.”

“Then, at Inter, as with many teams, there’s a lot of competition for places.”

“But he’s doing well,” Inzaghi said of Frattesi. “On Thursday he played ninety minutes, along with Zielinski, and he did very well.”

“Then, I have to make decisions who starts.”

“Today, Frattesi and Taremi played six minutes, as well as possible,” Inzaghi said.

“They did what we asked of them.”

“They have to keep doing what they have been.”

“At Inter there is competition for places in the team. On Thursday he (Frattesi) and Zielinski both played 90 minutes in the Coppa Italia. I have to make decisions every day for the good of Inter.”

“They have to keep working hard UFABET like this and everyone will get a chance.”

“We have to take it one game at a time because we have a very tight schedule. We are trying to rotate players and we know that this season is unusual, with the Supercoppa and the Club World Cup in the summer,” Inzaghi said.
